Untitled Spaces
In this series, I have re-photographed architectural models from architecture magazines I collect. I am providing "snapshots" or "glimpses" into people's ideas of perfection and their ideal spaces. As these ideals once occupied real space, I am unsure if these ideals were ever achieved or still exist.
By securing my camera on a copy stand and using a macro lens, I can zoom into a very minute area of the photograph recontextualizing the magnified area into a new visual landscape.
With these works, I was originally concerned with questions about permanence, memory, and desire.
As the series has evolved, I believe it has become more about surrogates, voyeurism, and surveillance systems.
Each photograph comes in an edition of 3
